Paleo Shepherds Pie

When I am craving the food on my British ancestors, its time to make Shepherd’s Pie! But of course, I must make a paleo, gluten-free version due to my diet needs. This is the perfect new twist of something old, becoming something perfect for the many GF people that exist today.   Paleo Shepherds Pie Cuisine British Servings 6 servings Prep Time 10 minutes Cook Time 30 minutes Ingredients small red potatoes cut in half1.5 lbs ground sirloin2 cups carrots sliced1 cup Brussel sprouts cut in half1 cup onion chopped1 cup beef broth low sodium4 tablespoons tomato paste2 tablespoons parsley fresh and diced1 tablespoon olive oil1/4 teaspoon dried thyme1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary1/4 teaspoon dried sageSalt and pepper to taste Instructions Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease baking sheet and placed potatoes on sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with sea salt and ground pepper. Place potatoes in preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. While potatoes are baking, in a skillet, add olive oil and evenly spread. Add carrots, Brussel sprouts, onions and seasonings to skillet and sauté about 5 minutes until cooked. Add ground beef and cook until beef is cooked and browned. Add beef broth and tomato paste and stir until cooked through and mixed into meat mixture. Italian Gluten-Free Sausage Meatloaf

New version of meatloaf using organic ground sausage to make Italian Gluten-Free Sausage Meatloaf! Might be little heavier than other meals, but is gluten-free and is made with organic ingredients. I make this version when trying to be different and add to my meal rotation for my husband. Of course you can’t just add to the list without creating, making it and the family loving it! So I gave it a whirl and success. He loved it and I do too. I would love to see what you and your family think. Italian Gluten-Free Meatloaf Course Main Dish Cuisine Italian Servings 6 servings Prep Time 20 minutes Cook Time 1 hour Passive Time 5 minutes Ingredients 2 lbs organic Italian sausage1/2 cup almond meal1/2 cup canned diced tomatoes1 egg1/3 cup onion finely chopped or mirepoix frozen veggies, sauteed1/2 teaspoon dried oregano or 1 drop Young Living Vitality line oregano1/2 teaspoon dried basil or 1 drop Young Living Vitality basil essential oil1/2 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon pepper1 cup marinara sauce Instructions Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, combine all meatloaf ingredients except marinara sauce. Spread mixture in ungreased 8x4- or 9x5-inch loaf pan. Spread marinara sauce over meatloaf.
